Before you install

Do I need a licence to install?

No. Install first, sign in later - the app runs a full month with everything unlocked, then keeps working free with one account.

Can I use one licence on several machines?

Yes, on every machine you personally use. There is no seat count and no activation server.

How do updates work?

Desktop builds update in the background and apply on next launch. You can pin a version in Settings → Advanced.

Where is my mail stored?

Locally, in an encrypted store on your own disk. Sync between your devices is end-to-end encrypted; we never hold the key.

Not sure yet? Try the beta.
